CO₂ Savings & Carbon Footprint
Compared to conventional cotton production, our linen and hemp fabrics generate significantly fewer carbon emissions throughout their lifecycle.
Our production process results in minimal carbon emissions, with most energy coming from renewable sources.
During growth, hemp and flax plants absorb more CO₂ from the atmosphere than they release during processing.
Water Usage: Natural Fibers vs. Cotton
The Water Story
Conventional cotton requires approximately 10,000-20,000 liters of water per kilogram of fabric. In contrast, linen and hemp are remarkably water-efficient:
- Linen: 6,400 liters per kg (rainwater sufficient in most regions)
- Hemp: 2,401 liters per kg (60% less than cotton)
- Cotton: 10,000+ liters per kg (irrigation required)
Our organic farming practices further reduce water needs by improving soil moisture retention and using only natural rainfall where possible.
Biodegradability & End of Life
Natural Decomposition
Linen and hemp fabrics are 100% biodegradable and will completely decompose in 2-3 months when composted. They leave no microplastics or harmful residues, returning nutrients to the soil.
Circular Economy
Our textiles can be recycled into new fabrics or repurposed for insulation, paper, or other applications. This circular approach extends their useful life and reduces waste.
Safe for Environment
Unlike synthetic fibers that shed microplastics into waterways, natural fibers break down safely without harming marine life or ecosystems.
Certifications & Standards
GOTS Certified
Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification ensures our fabrics meet strict environmental and social criteria throughout the supply chain, from field to finished product.
OEKO-TEX Standard 100
Our textiles are tested for harmful substances and certified safe for human health. This independent certification guarantees no harmful chemicals in your home.
European Flax Certification
Our European flax is certified for origin and quality, ensuring traceability and supporting traditional European linen production methods.
Trace the Journey of Your Textile
Follow your fabric from origin to your home. Click each step to learn more about our transparent supply chain.
Origin
Our fibers begin their journey on certified organic farms in Europe and North America. Each field is carefully selected for soil quality, climate suitability, and sustainable farming practices.
Processing
Traditional retting and mechanical processing methods extract the long, strong fibers without harmful chemicals. Our facilities use renewable energy and water-efficient techniques.
Dyeing
When color is needed, we use low-impact, eco-friendly dyes that meet strict environmental standards. Many of our textiles are left in their natural color, celebrating the beauty of undyed fibers.
Final Product
The finished fabric is inspected, certified, and prepared for delivery. Every yard is traceable back to its source, ensuring complete transparency in our supply chain.
Our Environmental Commitment
We believe in complete transparency about our environmental impact. By choosing natural, organic fibers and sustainable production methods, we're not just creating beautiful textiles—we're supporting a healthier planet. Every purchase contributes to:
- Reduced water consumption
- Lower carbon emissions
- Soil health improvement
- Biodiversity preservation
- Zero-waste production
